Victor He, Associate, Sattva Capital
Victor joined Sattva Capital in January, 2012. As Associate, Victor is responsible for assisting management with business development in Canada and building relationships with industry players in China.
Victor completed his undergraduate degree in finance at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in June 2011. He has always had a deep interest in the investment banking business and was the Founder of SFU Investment Banking Club. An idealist who is audacious in thinking and action, Victor initially wanted to become a religious teacher after college. But after a trip back to China in the summer of 2008, Victor saw how economic development has the power to create wealth and improve the welfare of people, and decided to instead pursue a career in business.

Merit Webster, Financial Sales Associate, Bloomberg LP
Merit Webster is a Financial Sales associate at Bloomberg LP in San Francisco. Her area of specialty is in Bloomberg’s commodity data and analytic tools. She frequently travels to British Columbia and Alberta to consult with corporations and financial analysts in the mining and oil & gas industries. She is particularly interested in how the dynamics of global supply and demand fundamentally drive the commodities markets.
Prior to joining Bloomberg in July 2010, Merit studied at Stanford University, where she received a B.A. in Public Policy & Economics.

Ryan Owsnett, Audit Partner, KPMG LLP
Ryan is a partner in the KPMG Vancouver’s natural resources group, focusing on the audits of public and private mining and energy clients. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and became a CA in 2001 after placing in the top ten writers in British Columbia on the 2001 CICA Uniform Final Exam. Ryan has over 14 years experience in public practice, having started his career in KPMG in 1997.
Ryan’s mining experience includes the audits of both Canadian and U.S. listed operating and exploration stage mineral companies. He has worked with such companies as the Ekati Diamond Mine, Hunter Dickinson Group (including Taseko Mines), Sojitz Corporation, Sabina Gold & Silver, Endako Molybdenum Mine, the Discovery Group, Revett Minerals, Altair Ventures and Indicator Minerals.
Ryan has worked with these companies on a combination of audit, accounting advisory, and IFRS conversion engagements and has developed an excellent understanding of the accounting, reporting and business issues facing companies in the mining and energy sectors. In his spare time Ryan volunteers as President of the Delta Thistle Curling Club.

Andrew Cosgrove, Senior Analyst, Bloomberg LP
Andrew Cosgrove is a Senior Metals & Mining analyst in Bloomberg Industries, a newly formed industry research group within Bloomberg LP, based in Princeton, NJ. He is responsible for preparing written/graphical content and constructing analytical platforms and for the metals and mining sectors including base metals, precious metals, iron & steel, and steel raw materials (iron ore and coal).
He joined Bloomberg Industries in late 2009 after working in Bloomberg’s Equity Fundamentals Group for a year. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2008, Andrew worked at Prudential Capital Group, a subsidiary of Prudential Financial in their instiutional fixed income group.

Ron Ho, Sandstorm Gold, Vice-President Finance
Mr. Ho joined Sandstorm after serving as the Chief Financial Officer for SNS Silver Corporation, where he contributed to equity capital raises and project evaluation and development. Prior to that, Mr. Ho was an Equity Analyst at Raymond James Ltd. where he was responsible for sector institutional research. Mr. Ho began his career at Deloitte & Touche, focusing on public company financial reporting in both the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Ho is a Chartered Accountant, holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Ho is also a director with Americas Petrogas Inc.
Gillian McCombie, Human Resources Director, Capstone Mining
Gillian McCombie is a senior Human Resources professional with 16 years experience in both the mining and telecom industries. Gillian started her career in the mining industry with Placer Dome Inc. During her time she worked across six different countries at the operational, corporate and international levels. She has a strong back ground and expertise in succession planning, talent management, strategic recruiting, employee engagement, policies and procedures and international service. During her time in Telecom Gillian worked for TELUS, where she help build the national engagement strategy and provided strategic HR support to two key business units- Client Experience and Small & Medium Business.
Recently, Gillian joined Capstone Mining where she is responsible for the overall strategic HR function for the organization.
Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of British Columbia and currently sits on the board of the Vancouver International Marathon. Over the last 5 years, she has been involved with the Minerva Foundation for BC Woman, volunteering as a mentor and supporting their various women initiatives.

Colin Joudrie, Director, Business Evaluations & General Manager CESL, Teck Resources
Colin Joudrie is the Director, Business Evaluations and General Manager CESL with Teck Resources Limited currently based in Vancouver, BC. His Day-to-day responsibilities are to direct the commercialization efforts of Teck's proprietary hydrometallurgical technologies and to support all of Teck's business development objectives including directing evaluation of discrete or strategic business opportunities. Colin works closely with external advisors, internal teams (business, operations, engineering, project, technology, exploration, legal, and finance/tax) and the Board of Directors to ensure evaluations characterize the risks and rewards in opportunities and also works on strategic growth initiatives for the company. Colin joined Cominco Ltd. in 1991 as an exploration geologist based in Flin Flon, MB working on Cu-Zn, Ni-Cu, Au, Diamond and industrial mineral exploration programs across Canada, USA, and Greenland. His first international posting was in 1994 to Santiago, Chile where he worked on advanced projects in Chile and led generative programs and business development initiatives in Chile and Argentina. His second international posting was to Windhoek, Namibia in 1998 where he led generative, evaluations and business development efforts in Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa in the search for Cu, Cu-Zn, Zn and Au-Ag deposits of various description and character. He returned to Canada in 2000 to complete an MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business after which he rejoined Teck Cominco in 2002 to work on product and technology business development initiatives focusing on the Trail Zn-Pb smelter and its >20 distinct products. In 2006 he joined Teck's Corporate development team working on strategic investments, partnerships, acquisitions and divestitures across Teck's businesses which included managing an European based equipment manufacturing business and a construction materials business in Western Canada.

He is Chair of the Mining for Miracles Campaign for BC Children's Hospital (2008, '09, '10, '11), is active in the Queen's and Ivey Alumni communities, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Colin is married to Dawn Russell, a Queen's Geologist, and together with Dawn is raising three young boys ages 15, 13 and 9.
